As a 1 Bold Step digital content producer, John draws from over a decade of agency and freelance experience in marketing communications. A lifelong learner committed to personal improvement, he continually seeks to stay on top of industry trends and level up his writing, editing, and content strategy skills. During his professional career, he considers himself fortunate to have collaborated with incredibly talented designers, brilliant strategists, and simply amazing human beings (and this extends to his new team at 1 Bold Step!).

John believes that content being produced merely for the sake of producing content is basically a complete waste of everyone’s time. All marketing communications should have a purpose and serve to inspire action. This principle guides him when writing content for clients in both B2B and B2C industries.

A Wisconsin transplant, John initially came to the Mitten State to attend Hope College and has since grown ever-deepening roots in the area. (Although, he will forever root for WI sports teams first and foremost!) Outside of work, he has a wide range of interests and activities–including reading, writing, music, movies, sports, and psychology–but perhaps the most interesting is that he has been coaching water polo for over twenty years at the middle and high school levels.
