Angie Vuyst
Angie obsesses over semiotics, wordsmithing, and storytelling. She champions various causes through personal blogging. And, she built her career through public speaking, broadcast media, and writing. She loves fostering understanding through writing, editing, and facilitating. She enjoys telling stories with empathy and writing human-centered content.
Angie spent 15 years in broadcast media as a producer and brand manager. Her work creating award-winning national radio programs for nonprofits inspired her shift to communications in the philanthropy sector for 8 years. Angie has since worked in various marketing and communication roles. She created strategies and content for organizations focused on anti-trafficking, fair trade, the arts, social services, and B2B and B2C in North Carolina, New York, and Pennsylvania. She returned to West Michigan in 2021 to be closer to family.
She joined 1 Bold Step in 2024 as a Content Strategist. In this role, she applies her love for writing and editing by creating long-form and short-form copy. She also develops editorial calendars, social media strategies, and leads messaging & positioning workshops.
Angie enjoys running, kickboxing, writing, photography, reading, and making a mess in the kitchen. She champions neuroinclusion and keeps up with health trends, both physical and mental. Angie studied Organizational Leadership at Fordham University and has a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies from Grand Valley State University.
