John’s mission is to make sure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, handling the day-to-day details so our team can focus entirely on what they do best.

When the office runs seamlessly and teams have what they need to succeed, that’s when the magic happens for our clients. The invisible work is what makes 1 Bold Step a well oiled machine. The best compliment he can receive? When a team member says, “I didn’t have to think about that because it just worked…”

John started his career path in cable television advertising, working to help design, train, and support scheduling and sales software systems for local and network cable ad sales operations. He later shifted focus from external customer and system support to administrative support and office management, as well as HR, finance, and facilities management.

Originally from Northern California, he has adopted West Michigan and the Grand Rapids area as home (except for lifelong loyalties to the Bay Area sports teams!).
